In any given year, between 11% and 15% of the US population changes their mailing address. Our alumni are certainly just as mobile, so as they have moved their homes and families the number of good mailing addresses we have has slowly declined.
The same is true for email addresses. As alumni move from early email providers (hello, AOL!) to newer platforms, we've not been able to stay in touch.
